Big Feet Times Two

This blog just doubled in love. Our family welcomed home Colton Jet Brosious last Wednesday evening. He weighed in at 8 lbs 6 oz and 20.5" long. Lucky for this blog, his feet are long and skinny too!

So much fun keeping up with A!

Little fishy!

This has been a summer of swimming! Since we joined ACAC in late May we all have had significant pool time and Audrey is progressing quickly. We are so excited that she is swimming independently. She decided in early July that she wanted to tide on the water slide and the rule is that the kids must swim a length of the pool. Well when she learned that during July 4 weekend, the puddle jumper came off and she and Josh got to the serious work of swimming. Now at the end of the month she can do about a half a lap of soggy doggy paddle. She is determined.  Of course she has had fun swimming with friends and just playing at the pool and doing back yard water play.

How does your garden grow?

This summer we started Audrey's first garden. Grandma provided the plants from her source in central Pa and mommy planted the garden in the flower bed in May. This summer we've had small successes with the garden. Audrey's first crop were the green beans and she loved harvesting and immediately eating the beans.  For some reason she started calling herself "Auge" (idk how to spell it but it rhymes with hodge) only when she eats from the garden.  So now she has her cucumber crop emerging and I told her last week to wait two more days for her cuke, so tonight we looked at her cucumber plants and she decided to wait. "Two more days." The tomatoes will be next!

School is out for summer! Audrey went to Rehoboth beach, spent lots of time with family at home and in Selinsgrove, and has enjoyed lots of friend time. She is helping mommy and daddy to get ready for her baby brother!

Easter weekend 2013

Audrey enjoyed a long weekend to recover from her first injury, a sprained shoulder. On Thursday she picked up Aunt Jenny for a trip to Chic Fil A. A two and a half hr trip with lots one armed playground fun and an ice cream cone. Audrey spent lots of time playing with "joe joe the do do" and Aunt Jenny and visiting with Gamma and Gampa. She also got to know Joe's parents, Ms. Sharon and Papa John. Audrey took a trip to "the Gardens" and made the most of a beautiful weekend day, and helping Joe keep up w his cardio training. On Easter Audrey had a jelly bean trail to follow but she thought at first it was "puppy dog" food. She enjoyed opening her presents from her grandparents and "the bunny rabbit." She was in love with her outfit, the stockings and small sleeves had her attention. We took everyone to Terrain at Styers for brunch, and ended the day with an egg hunt. It was a wonderful weekend full of good times. Audrey's mom appreciates all of the Audrey time everyone gave her to rest.

Day trip to see Rehiboth

We drove to Rehoboth to grab lunch at Dogfishhead & met up with Aunt Joanne and Uncle Bill. After a nice lunch we checked out the chocolate festival & Audrey was impressed by the cake decorating contest. Ms A was ready for a nap and rested in her jogger while we took advantage of the sales.

Two and a half.

Audrey turned 2.5! She celebrated by moving to her new big girl room and she made a fire truck cake w daddy-o. We are having lots of potty training success.
